Free screening + pre-operative diagnosis

A free screening consultation is carried out on appointment at the Vision Laser centre. This is to evaluate your refractive error and see if there are any indications against performing surgery.

The screening test is composed of:

  • Evaluation of your sight
  • Evaluation of your corneal topography (Orbscan 2)
  • Evaluation of your eligibility for surgery
  • An explanation of the surgery

During this consultation, all the information regarding your intervention will be given to you and you will receive an explanatory document. After the screening, a preoperative appointment may be scheduled.

We remain at your disposal for any further information.

Preoperative consultation

This examination allows us to know you better and enables us to suggest the most suitable surgery option.
This consultation lasts two hours, during which the surgeon and his team will carry out an in-depth examination:

  • Evaluation of your sight (with and without dilation)
  • Corneal topography (mapping of the anterior and posterior surface of the cornea)
  • Pachymetry (thickness of the cornea)
  • Aberrometry (measurement of optical aberrations)
  • Score (testing for corneal risk)
  • Examination of the back of the eye and eye pressure
  • Pupillometry (review to assess the reaction of your pupils in different lighting)

With your surgeon, you will decide on a surgical technique according to:

  • The type and strength of your visual defect
  • The curvature and thickness of your cornea
  • Your age
  • Your Lifestyle
  • Your ophthalmological history

If an operation is possible, a date for the operation can be set. All information concerning your intervention will be given to you, and you will receive explanatory documents. You will receive pre- and post-operative treatment.

We remain at your disposal for any questions you may have about the intervention
