Former Head of Clinic for three years at the Ophthalmology Clinic of the University Hospital of Geneva (HUG), doctor Sylviane von Gunten has been an independent doctor since October 1998. Alongside the exercise of her private practice within the Clinic des Grangettes, Doctor von Gunten continued training in refractive surgery between 2000 and 2002 with Dr. Korol at HUG.
Doctor von Gunten studied in Boston at the Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary Hospital during her specialisation. She also obtained an Inter-University Diploma (DIU) in refractive surgery and phaco-emulsification in June 2004 at the University of Bordeaux (France).
