PRELEX (PREsbyopic Lens EXchange) is an identical technique to that of cataract surgery by implanting a multifocal lens. In case of presbyopia, the lens has lost its accommodation and is replaced by a multifocal lens.

This procedure is particularly gratifying for presbyopic patients over 50, in particular if there is poor distance eyesight such as farsightedness.

Its goal is spectacle independence for distance, intermediate and near vision.

  • The multifocal lens implantation is performed under local anesthetic drops (topical) through a micro incision of 2.2 mm.
  • The two eyes are operated a few days apart.
  • Recovery time is extremely fast, the next day
